Good news everyone. There is a new release coming up with nothing new but a bug fix. But this makes me happy. Please download the new packages (0.3.9.4)
I have some bad news folks. First there is a kind of bug that did goes through the last release (0.3.9.2). This has been reported in the bugtracker and it's not really hard to fix, but it's all my fault. This is related to a new script : debcreator_listarchive. This is installed in /usr/bin and you need to edit this file with your adminitrative privileges. The first line need to be edited, that is "#!/bin/sh" should be "#!/bin/bash" instead. I know, that's such a little thing ... Anyway it's already fixed for the next release.
Another bad news is that some people experience a crash when running debcreator. And I can't find where it's coming from. So if you have any idea or you did experience a crash too please come to the bugtracker and
help us.
While many draws some interest in this project I did not have any website to track the project evolution. Hopefully this is fixed now. Currently I'm working on the next version, which will be 0.3.9.3 if everything goes well. There's already a new version that was finished some days ago but I'm not very pleased with the interface on this one. Feel free to send me your thought about it or go to the Contribute section to see what you can do for the project. And of course, enjoy Deb Creator!

The project need to support gettext internationalization first. That's on the TODO list, so feel free to provide a patch with this support included.
I really don't like how the control fields are presented to the user. If you have any idea how to do this without adding complexity to the user interface than just send your mock-up to bobyjoe0_[at]_yahoo.fr
If you have the will to add some functionality please download the source code and check the TODO file first. If what you intend to do is not on the TODO list you can still implement it. There's a million things todo than are not on the TODO list.
I need more information on how to build debian package from maintainers and packagers. I would love to hear your experience or have some links to know how to build complex packages. Send them to bobyjoe0_[at]_yahoo.fr
Please use the launchpad
project bugtracker to report any failed build. If you don't want to register at launchpad feel free to send me a mail with all the information at bobyjoe0_[at]_yahoo.fr
